The Refund Configuration settings allow you to control how eBay refunds are synchronized and recorded in QuickBooks. Enable Refund Sync to automatically sync refund transactions. You can choose how refunds should be created in QuickBooks by selecting one of the available options: Create Refund Receipt, Create Credit Memo, or Void Original Invoice and Payment, depending on how your business manages refunds and accounting records.

You can further customize refund synchronization by selecting the Refund Transaction Reference, which determines the reference value (such as the Invoice Number) used for refund transactions. For refunds that are not associated with a specific product, select a Service Item for Non-product Refunds to ensure charges such as manual adjustments or goodwill refunds are recorded correctly. Additionally, choose which date should be used for the refund transaction in QuickBooks, such as the Refund Date/Order Date, to maintain consistent financial reporting.

If your business needs to account for marketplace return charges, enable Sync Return Fees to synchronize return-related fees along with the refund transaction. Configuring these settings ensures that refund transactions are accurately reflected in QuickBooks while maintaining consistency with your eBay records and accounting practices.
